It’s almost sweater weather and I’m so excited for it. We are less than a week away from October and still experiencing temperatures in the upper 80s. But I can feel a cool breeze some mornings so I know fall is coming. I’ll soon be able to bring out all my cozy sweaters. And while I’m digging through boxes to find them, I thought I could share a free cozy sweater pattern for your coffee!
I love making coffee cup cozies. It’s one of those things that you can almost always use another of. I know at our house we loose them often. It also makes a great gift. It’s so quick to make. Ever since I was little and leaning to knit and crochet I loved the look of the cable stitch. Although this is not a cable stitch, I think it resembles it somewhat. Get ready to create your own little cable knit sweater for your coffee.
You can use any light weight yarn for this pattern. I used YarnBees Sugarwheel cotton in nutmeg nibbles. Depending on where you’re at on your skein, you will end up with different colors. Which is fabulous if you are selling these and want a variety of colors. Using a 5mm/ H hook i crocheted a 2”x 2” swatch that is roughly 8dc and 4 rows.
If you love the pattern, but don’t crochet check out The Handmade Home collection on the site to buy your own premade Coffee Cozy Sweater.
